Yachtcharter Waddeninzicht - consequent on her membership of HISWA - is committed to apply the General Conditions for chartering pleasure-craft. (www.hiswa.nl ) Over and above that we as Yachtcharter Waddeninzicht will agree with you on a number of other specific terms and conditions and some further rules of the game, as follows. The sailing area of the ships of Waddeninzicht is composed of the inland waterways, The Frisian lakes, the IJsselmeer(Ijssel-lake) and the Dutch part of the Waddenzee (subject to prior discussion and agreement with the lessor). The Dutch part of the Waddenzee is considered to be the area in between the Dutch coast and the Dutch Isles or the outer-buoys of the streams and channels in between them.
- Another sailing area can be agreed upon but is subject to previous written consent by the lessor.
- It is not allowed to sail off with wind forces of 6 and higher or when such is forecasted. In case during a voyage the wind will gather strength to force 6 Beaufort or higher then the skipper/lessee is obliged to seek in accordance with good seamanship refuge as quickly as possible in a port or sheltered anchorage . The skipper-lessee should, during his/her voyage acquaint himself once a day at a minimum of the weather-reports for his sailing area. (see weather-info )
- An intended passage from the great sea lock to or from the Wad will be reported to the lessor. Moreover you will need to acquaint yourself with the tides on your prospective voyage.
- Lessee and all crew are expected to have taken note of the Wadden code of Conduct and to obey this code (of honour). ( www.wadvaarders.nl)
- Yachtcharter Waddeninzicht demand from lessees that they have enough experience in sailing on open water. Knowledge about sailing and navigation on tidal waters is also a requirement. When you are not acquainted with the latter ten it is recommended to join in in flotilla sailing arranged by Yachtcharter Waddeninzicht early in the season and where this is being taught.
- Use of the Marifoon/VHF is only allowed by those who posses a marifoon/VHF certificate which can be shown on demand. Any fines for misuse will be charged to the lessee.
- Pets are only allowed by special agreement.
- When sailing stoves are not allowed to be used.
- The masts of the Cornish Crabber and Shrimper may not be lowered.
- The lessee owes a caution to the lessor of € 350,- This caution money will be resituated to the lessee within 54 working days after redelivery of the craft there by deducting any remaining costs which are still due in consequence of this agreement.
- Bank costs are for account of the lessee.
- Lessor Yachtcharter Waddeninzicht is not responsible for damage or injury to goods of lessee or crew. Recommendations by lessor or by any of its employees verbal or in writing about course, weather forecast, sail is always a non committal advise. Skipper/lessee remains always responsible for the command over the rented craft. Lessee can be held liable for damages to the craft with an element of own risk of € 350,- per incident.
- Ships have to be back by 10 am latest ( except on Sunday's when it is 19.00 hours) Ships which are too late for redelivery will be fined. The fine will amount to a per hour levy of 10% over the weekend tariff. The lessee is obliged to notify the lessor in advance of an expected late arrival. At the home port..
- On redelivery of the craft the crockery, cutlery, pots and pans and the stove needs to have been washed up, ready for re-use, the floor swept up, the chemical toilet emptied, cleaned and left behind in the cabin. The watertank has to be filled up. Yachtcharter Waddeninzicht will fill up the fuel and settle this with the caution money. The deck needs to have been cleared away and the sails bound together but not under the long hooded cloak. Waddeninzicht will later on clean the cabin with hot water and cleaner. The costs to be charged for this will be as follows; Cornish Crabber €30,--, Cornish Shrimper €27,50,--, Drascombe 25,--.
