How to get to the marina at Oostmahorn.

From Rotterdam, IJmuiden/Amsterdam

Travel time: Rotterdam -Oostmahorn: 2 hour 45 minutes; from Hoek of Holland plus approximately 20 minutesj.

Amsterdam (Schiphol)-Oostmahorn: 2 hours 15 minutes

The quickest route is through the Flevopolder (Almere, Lelystad, Lemmer) via A6 to Joure. From there follow A7/E22 Heerenveen Leeuwarden Groningen upto exit (31) . There you take the N358 in the direction of Surhuisterveen, Buitenpost continue to follow the N358 , at first in the direction of Surhuizum then Buitenpost and subsequently in the direction of Lauwersoog. When you have crossed the lock in Dokkumer Nieuwe Zijlen then you are not far off. Follow the N358 for another 7 km in the direction of Lauwersoog. Just near Oostmahorn you go to the right on a T junction into the direction of Oostmahorn via the Skanserwei passing the house of famous salvor Klaas Toxopeus on the dyke along the Lauwersmeer . Just before you arrive at the dyke and after the busstop on your left you have to go left over the dyke to arrive in the marina. There is an intercom on the sign board of Waddeninzicht with which you can call up one of us.

From Groningen

Travel time: Groningen - Oostmahorn: 1 hr

Follow the de A7/E22 Drachten, Leeuwarden, Amsterdam and take exit (32) Marum. Here you take the N980 Marum Kornhorn. Proceed on the N980 to Noordwijk, Kornhorn, Grootegast. Take the N981 in the direction of Opende , there where this road N981 crosses the N 358 take the N358 in the direction of Surhuisterveen, Buitenpost and stay on the N358, at first in the direction of Surhuizum , then into the direction of Buitenpost and subsequently in the direction of Lauwersoog.
